Simone LaFray and the Chocolatier's Ball

Hello bookstagrammers,
Trust you are well and that everyone is in good spirits!
Another book review is here! The author S.P. O’Farrell through Bookstagrammers.com chose me to review Simone LaFray and the Chocolatier’s Ball and give my honest opinion about it. Who can refuse a book when there are chocolate and mouth-watering desserts involved? Also, let us not forget that the story is situated in the middle of magnificent France.
The story is about Simone, a twelve-year-old investigator that helps her father to run a family patisserie in the middle of France. She is also a very good investigator through the footsteps of her mother she is trying to decipher the most scandalous thief that returned to Paris for a very devastating event. The problem is that an important ball is coming up and in the French patisserie, not everything is sweet as it seems.
This book is a highly recommended read for middle-school students, especially those students that are learning about France in school. It is ideal for a school book club. The main themes of the book are trust, responsibility, and family. The story is light and fast-paced which makes the reader eager and on edge to see what happens next. The plot is very engaging and the words used are ideal for those students who are learning English as well. Highly recommended book. Can’t wait to read the second book!
